How many sessions should I get?

Short answer, I don’t know.


This question is a lot like asking a personal trainer how many workouts it will take to lose ten pounds. Many factors are going to influence your changes. Sticking with the fitness metaphor, if you meet with your trainer weekly but leave the gym and go straight to McDonald’s for a reward, that ten pounds won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. However, if you complete your workout and eat food that nourishes your body and supports your goals, focusing on your specific desired outcome and reminding yourself of all the benefits of having it even when you don’t want to do your workouts, well then, you will get there even sooner.

The same applies to having sessions. We clean up a lot of negative thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that influence your behaviors in a coaching session, however, for you to get the most out of it, you will want to do your work between coaching sessions as well. It’s a commitment inside and outside of the coaching sessions to your desired outcome.

Why are your sessions two hours?

A quality coaching session begins with a thorough intake.

The intake elicits the key thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that are driving the behaviors you want to change and what you want instead. A proper intake can often take 30-60 minutes. The remaining time will be the actual change work portion of the session, followed by skill building,  ending with exercises for emotional power and control between coaching sessions.


In individual cases, I can adapt this, however, a full two-hour coaching session is the best method I have experienced. Please email me if you feel this is necessary for you.
